Settling in

Bon soir!

Tomorrow is the beginning of orientation, so today I had some time to sort out some of the few remaining things on my list. EDF: done. Trip to Ed's for some household necessities: Check. Put money in my bank account so I at least have something while I wait for HSBC to get its head out its ass: done.

Also, I figured out a more efficient bus route, and went for an interesting walk in the back alleys of downtown Reims. Never again (though this walk led me eventually to the fashion district, so at least I'm scouting for later).

Furthermore, the Chinese tour bus pulled in and I now have res mates.

As all this is happening, I was able to acquire a pillow, blanket, and what seems for now to be unlimited free internet (fingers crossed). Oh and batteries for my camera, so I may begin uploading pictures soon, but I think I will wait for my new converter or new charger completely to do that. So by the end of next week, whether here or on Facebook, you will be able to see what I see.

I'm hoping the orientation will go smoothly, and that my first full weekend in France is interesting enough to tell you all about.
