Good Afternoon,
I feel that after 6 weeks of silence, I may have something to share. Well, the end of April was pretty much just back to work and finishing the blog for my Japan/India trip. In May I started taking a Spanish class, just for the heck of it. My explanation to the prof and the TA was that I took a class so I could do something fun outside of work; I took a language because it's useful for my career; and I took Spanish because it was the only language they had. They accepted this explanation and I received an A+ in the class (after 6 weeks, of course, it only just finished last week, but I'm trying to move things along here).
I also got to visit my grandparents and some of my cousins that month, which is always fun. My closest cousin, Andrew, is now engaged to his longtime girlfriend (now fiancée, obviously) Daniella. Congratulations! :D
This brings the "engaged cousin" count to 2. Seems like I've got some work to do.
Anyway, May was also highly productive for me as I was offered a promotion at Hay Group (which I gladly accepted). I will no longer be a Secretary for the Ottawa Office, but will instead be the Consultants' B*tch for all of Canada. [Editor's Note: That's Administrative Assistant and Technical Analyst]
Since this comes as no surprise and is fairly uninteresting to most of my readers, I apologize. The only other upcoming events are Bluesfest, which is going to be awful; 6 more weeks of Spanish, which will be tolerable; and my 4-day trip to Niagara-on-the-Lake, which will be, well, actually pretty awesome I'm guessing. :D
That will be the extent of my travels for some time. Laszlo (who I met in France, as you'll recall) will be spending 8 months in San Diego, so I will be planning a trip there as well at some point. Next big trip will be South America, but I don't know when or with whom.
So I guess that's it for now. Oh and if you have a chance to see Classic Albums Live perform anything by The Doors, just go. I saw L.A. Woman. Unbelievable. Note-perfect, great stage presence and acting skills by "Jim Morrison", great band chemistry, just...brilliant.
¡Hasta luego amigos!
